Conceptual approaches to museumification of the orangery complex of the Gorki estate at the Gorki Leninskiye museum-preserve (Moscow region)

The paper presents the main provisions of the Concept of Museumification of the Orangery Complex of the Gorki Estate (The Gorki Leninskie Museum-Preserve). The aim of the project is to revive the complex and turn it into a modern museum and tourist site, designed for repeated visits. The author analyses the historical characteristics of the site and the contemporary circumstances which influenced the choice of the type of museumification, the themes of the permanent exposition and the exposition methods and technologies. The main attention is paid to the original conceptual idea and thematic structure of the permanent exposition “Zinaida Morozova-Reinbot's Orangery and floral images of the Art Nouveau era”.
