The article is devoted to the study of the pilgrim narrative as a phenomenon of modern communicative culture. In this paper, we identify the basic cognitive-discursive mechanisms underlying the genre structure of the pilgrimage blog and correlating with the specific properties of the narrator’s consciousness. This work is based on a cognitive-communicative approach to the study of current trends in genotypic speech forms in the Internet practice of the pilgrim as an actor. The genre structure of the blog is interpreted as a synthetic, mobile and communicatively mediated form of communication, motivated by the specifics of the author’s consciousness and based on important multi-level conceptual categories of the discursive process. As a result, this flexibility of the structural substrate produces genre ambivalence as one of the fundamental features of the studied speech form: on the one hand, the fixation of genre features, on the other hand, the blurring of structural boundaries allows the discursive genre to maintain its recognition and relevance.
