В центре внимания данной статьи - wayfinding, или нахождение дороги, - перспективное и востребованное направление в современной урбанистике, обозначает процесс прокладывания маршрута в антропогенной среде. С ситуациями, требующими нахождения пути, люди сталкиваются ежедневно, каждому из нас (особенно тому, кто оказался в чужом мегаполисе) многократно приходится делать выбор, связанный с wayfinding'ом. Статья представляет собой обзор литературы, посвящённой антропологическим и когнитивным аспектам практик ориентирования.
