The article is devoted to the training of foreign specialists in the conditions of a Russian military university. The essence of such definitions as professional training, military professional training, speech training, adaptation is considered. The author aims to analyze the issue of professional speech training during the adaptation of foreign military personnel (IVS) in the aviation university of the Russian Federation. The work describes the specifics of training foreign students in a Russian military educational institution from the moment they enroll in the preparatory course. The author deals with the professional competence of the future military specialist from Laos, as well as the formation of speech communication during the period of professional training of foreign military personnel at an aviation university at the initial stage; names the reasons causing difficulties in teaching Russian to Laos cadets; emphasizes the importance of the professional approach of teachers of Russian as a foreign language in the formation of a future pilot and technician from another state; believes that educational and upbringing goals should be solved simultaneously with practical (communicative) goals and carried out during the entire period of study. The article outlines the ways of solving the problems of organizing and improving the professional and speech adaptation of foreign military personnel from Laos who have arrived to study at the aviation university of the Russian Federation.
