Introduction of maths tests in teaching students studying “personnel management” as a major (in the framework of competence approach)

The paper correlates forming professional competence with using tests in modern high-school educational system. It describes some practical mathematical tests for students studying personnel management. Several approaches of solving these problems are presented in the article. It is concluded that tests are mostly useless to control the level of student's professional competence and can't change it for better. Teachers obsessive about successful tests results are less successful in performing qualitative education as completing tests never means having an ability to perform professionally
