Эпоха олдована на территории Африки и Евразии: археологические памятники, вопросы культурной атрибуции и хронологии

Олдован является древнейшей археологической эпохой. Появляясь в качестве культуры около 2,6 млн л. н. в Восточной Африке, он широко распространяется по территории Африки и Евразии. Открытие памятников этого пласта на территории России существенно удревняет отечественную историю каменного века и актуализирует изучение этой эпохи. Работа посвящена краткому описанию современного состояния и степени изученности культуры олдована в Старом Свете. Статья носит обзорный характер.
