Experimental investigation of internal aerodynamics of thermostat for Sharp AE-X08BE-C split system outer block

The article shows that split systems with temperature-controlled outer blocks heat buildings very effectively and preserve environment. Temperature control credibility greatly depends on internal aerodynamics of a thermostat. The article provides with the starting points, theoretical grounding and the results of experimental internal aerodynamics research of a thermostat for a SHARP AE-X08BE-C split system outer block. The research was carried out on the full-size thermostat simulator. The authors measured the airflow speeds with and without the spoiler redirecting air flows from the burner to the flue and from the turning bend that regulates flue draft. The article gives recommendations concerning the mode and construction of devices regulating air flow for burning and flue-gas extraction
