Studying the landscape conditions along the ecological trails on the Baikal natural territory

The article discusses the studying landscape features along the ecological trail located on the territory of the Baikal Biosphere Reserve (Baikal Natural Territory, central ecological zone). Eco-tourism is the important part of specially protected natural areas (Pas) development, and tourism on hiking trails is part of the development plan of recreational infrastructure. For these purposes, the author has studied the landscape features of the Vydrinaia River Basin, along which the ecological path runs. The study of the ecological path is necessary for informing the visitors of the protected areas, to emphasize the beauty of the landscape. Particular attention is paid to the botanical component, as the vegetation is the most significant component of the landscape with various kinds of changes. The research is based on the methods and principles of studying landscapes, developed by V. B. Sochava, with taking into account materials of field work, cartographic (multi-thematic) and spacematerials, data of forest taxation...
