Исследование взаимосвязи размеров тела и социального статуса детей и подростков в коллективе сверстников (на примере русских школьников)

Проблема и цель. Исследования взаимосвязи размеров тела и социального статуса указывают на то, что морфологические показатели (рост, вес, индекс массы тела) оказывают воздействие на популярность и непопулярность детей и подростков среди сверстников. Однако имеющиеся на сегодняшний момент работы противоречивы и имеют много ограничений. Недостатком многих исследований является смешанный характер выборок и отсутствие при анализе влияния этнического фактора, тогда как морфологические и поведенческие показатели в этих группах могут сильно отличаться. Цель данной работы - исследование взаимосвязи размеров тела (роста, веса, индекса массы тела) и социального статуса школьников в коллективе сверстников (на примере русских школьников). Методология. Данные собраны среди школьников г. Москвы 10-18 лет. Обследовано 1077 человек (507 мальчиков и 570 девочек). На первом этапе процедуры исследования все школьники заполняли демографический опросник (пол, возраст, этническая принадлежность). В выборку были включены только те школьники, которые назвали себя русскими. С целью оценки социального статуса ребенка был использован метод оценки сверстниками: на основании ответов одноклассников каждому участнику был присвоен соответствующий ранг (рейтинг) внутри класса. Далее проводились антропометрические измерения тотальных размеров тела каждого респондента - длины тела, массы тела с последующим расчетом индекса массы тела (ИМТ). Результаты. Анализ полученных данных выявил наличие взаимосвязи между морфологическими показателями (размеры тела) и социальным статусом школьника в группе. Данный результат был получен на однородной выборке русских школьников. Однако данная взаимосвязь была значима только в подростковом возрасте и зависела от пола. Кроме того, автором выявлена взаимосвязь низкого социального статуса не только с избыточным, но и недостаточным весом. Заключение. Результаты проведенного исследования показывают, что морфологические показатели (рост, вес, индекс массы тела) оказывают воздействие на популярность и непопулярность детей и подростков среди сверстников. Полученные результаты углубляют наше понимание о связи размеров тела с социальным статусом и связанных с ними проблемах виктимизации и агрессивного поведения в подростковых коллективах.
