Personality and professional development of physicians are connected with each other. Identity of a physician develops in the course of professionalization. Objective of this investigation was revealing of psychological factors of identity of the contemporary physicians at various stages of professiogenesis. In the investigation, qualitative-quantitative characteristics of identity of physicians at various stages of professiogenesis have been identified. Characteristics of three levels of development of identity have been distinguished: active, adaptive and crisis.
