The structure of the teaching staff is considered as an united index of the qualitative condition of the scientificpedagogical contingent, therefore its evaluation is made on the basis of the structural approach. Following structural characteristics are measured and evaluated: professional (i. e. subjects), qualificational, status ones and those dealing with demography.
