The use of information technologies in the activities of investigative bodies to compensate for damage caused by crimes

Introduction: the article analyzes and summarizes the use of information technologies in the activities of preliminary investigation bodies in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to compensate for damage caused by crimes. On the basis of the obtained results determined the needs of officials in the information technology organization to ensure the compensation of damage and highlighted practical problems that are solved with their help, and developed proposals and identified areas of improvement of activity of bodies of preliminary investigation on the use of information technologies in the process of gathering information of a material nature, with the aim of further interim measures for damages caused by the crime. Materials and Methods: the normative basis of the research is formed by federal laws that are directly related to the legal basis for the use of information technologies, as well as by-laws of federal public authorities, normative legal acts of bodies conducting preliminary investigations. The methodological basis of the study was formed by formal legal, logical methods, as well as the method of comparison and analysis. Results of the Study: allowed a comprehensive analysis of the use of bodies of preliminary investigation in system of the Interior Ministry of Russia for information technologies in activities for compensation and determine the legal, technical and other measures aimed at improving the efficiency of collection of information of a material nature, to further the adoption of effective measures of a security nature. Findings and Conclusions: for the effective use of information technologies in the activities of preliminary investigative bodies in the system of the MIA of Russia for compensation must, in addition to existing products, to develop and implement integrated software products that can satisfy the requirements of the bodies of preliminary investigation of MIA of Russia for intellectual property information search property character, introduction of technologies of electronic interaction between the investigative bodies, court, Prosecutor's office, as well as the banking sector and state institutions on issues of compensation for damages caused by crimes.
