The innovative tool of non-linear design of objects

Formulation of the problem: the existing design methods do not always provide for the creation of design objects with customer value in understanding the customer. The wishes expressed in the words "cosy", "comfortable" do not inform of the shaping. The objective of the study is to create a "translation" mechanism of words in the form, which is positioned as an innovative tool of design of objects - automated system for the generation of design forms. Non-linearity, in this case, is considered as a non-standard approach and a reduction during the design phase. Methods: a translation of verbal concepts in graphic symbols based on which a database - semantic dictionary is proposed. Software for generating at first plane, then the three-dimensional structures, to express correspondence of the verbal language to the semantic value is implemented. Results: on the basis of the department "Design" and "Software tools" an automated system for problem solving of design of objects is developed. The structural diagram of the program is presented in three sections: interface; generation; settings and dictionary. After starting the program the user settings and semantic dictionary from the relevant files are automatically loaded. To get started, the user is proposed to select a few words from the list, as well as the mode of generation: a regular or chaotic. Further the program generates compositions and displays them in 2D preview on the screen. The user has the possibility to modify the composition and compare the results. The program then creates a script file and downloads it to perform in 3ds Max, which leads to displaying 3D image of the composition. To develop the software product was chosen the C# programming language and NET platform, respectively, which is integrated in the development environment of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. By means of computer simulation the problem of design in object design that has a synergistic and mutually reinforcing character is solved. On the one hand, the automated system solves the development problem in the design and on the other - the design methods lay the foundation for modelling of artificial intelligence capable of generating tens of three-dimensional structures to help the designer. The program makes it possible to avoid a stage of progressive sketching, having a "one-stage" nonlinear method of semantic translation of words into the form. Practical significance: an automated system can be used both in training line of design and in real design of industrial forms.
