The article considers the problem of creation of system of continuous education in terms of political-economic and socio-cultural transformations of the Russian society and the consequent need to resume or continue their education, vocational training throughout life. The urgency of humanistic values as the basis for building a modern strategy of continuous education. Advancing an argument about the formation of a humanistic personality by becoming its value-consciousness. The conclusion is made about the nature of continuing education based on the development of personality, the subject of activity and communication in terms of humanistic educational environment.
