State maritime rescue service on the Russian Far East basin: emergency-rescue training and exercises, 1991-2014

The article deals with the emergency rescue training in the Far Eastern branches of Russian Maritime Rescue Service in 1991-2014, gives general characteristic of rescue exercises types and analyzes the features of the marine rescuers training to effectively conduct operations at sea and to fight against oil spills. The author concludes that the rescuers of Far Eastern State Marine Rescue Service system regularly raised their level of emergency rescue training, carried out exercises of various levels and types and took part in them. To raise the efficiency of training cooperation was established with domestic and foreign maritime rescue organizations of the Pacific Rim.
