Geographical conditioning of labour (Charles-Lois de Montesquieu and Johann Gottfried herder)

Бесплатный доступ

At the turn of the XX th and XXI st centuries the phenomenon of labor is undergoing major transformation. The researchers discuss the crisis of the classical model of labor. Is the link between environmental conditions and labour attitude in particular regions still topical? Do cultural traditions and religious values affect the labour process? Geographical and cultural conditioning of labour have been the focus of philosophers of past centuries, but how are these issues addressed today? The author refers to the concepts of Enlightenment thinkers such as Montesquieu and Herder and compares them with the interpretations of the cultural conditioning of labour in the works of contemporary researchers.
