В статье рассматривается перспектива создания гомозиготных линий томата через гаплоиды. Гаплоиды могут быть получены как из клеток женского, так и мужского га-метофита. Обсуждаются достижения в области гаплоидии томата, полученные за последние 40 лет, отражены успехи и проблемы получения дигаплоидов через андрогенез и гиногенез.
