Physical state of students depending on fitness level

The article discusses the features of the physical state of students, male and female, with different levels of fitness. It is shown that the physical state of untrained female students have inferior characteristics compared to their male peers. It was revealed that untrained female students have low functional level of health, reduced performance capability of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, reduced secretory activity of the sex glands. It was also registered the average risk of developing arterial hypertension. The average functional level of health is defined in the ratio of 9% of girls and 22% of young men. When testing the level of physical fitness of untrained students, it was revealed the predominance of low-level of aerobic endurance in the Cooper test. The level of aerobic endurance of female students was significantly lower in comparison with the male students, as evidenced by a greater percentage of unsatisfactory evaluation, female students received for the performance of this test in comparison with the male students. The physical state of trained students is characterized by a predominance of above-average of functional level of health, a sufficient level of physical performance and high efficiency of the cardiorespiratory system, most of the secretory activity of the sex glands, the average level of risk for neurological disorders in boys and girls and the high risk of developing mental disorders in girls. It was shown more pronounced effect of the complex of negative factors on the various functions of the body of girls compared with boys. The revealed peculiarities of the physical state of students, male and female should be considered when organizing sports work with female students at higher educational institutions.
