Phenomenon of synesthesia in Russian poetry of the 19th and 20th centuries

The article considers synesthesia as a linguistic phenomenon and idiostylistic aspects of synesthesia speech representation in Russian poetry of the 19th and 20th centuries. Based on the statistical method and the observational method there are made the conclusions about the degree synesthesia usage by the poets representing two centuries.
