Двоевластие? Специфика системы соправительства в Византии на рубеже XIII-XIV вв. и ее влияние на ситуацию в государстве

Настоящее исследование посвящено теме соправительства в Византии в период правления ранних Палеологов. Его задача заключается в определении роли византийского императора Михаила IX (1294-1320) - сына и соправителя отца Андроника II Палеолога (1282-1328) - в политической дестабилизации империи на рубеже XIII-XIV вв. посредством выявления специфики системы властных отношений в государстве в изучаемое время. В результате исследования было выяснено, что указанная специфика определялась двумя обстоятельствами: 1) институционализацией системы соправительства, произошедшей в период правления первых представителей палеологовской династии, что было сопряжено в значительной мере с изданием Михаилом VIII (1259-1282) по случаю коронации его сына Андроника (II) (1272) простагмы - важного документа, положения которого, на наш взгляд, были в полной мере реализованы (и в какой-то мере даже расширены) в правление последнего; 2) разделением управленческих функций внутри правящей семьи. В то время как Андроник II занимался решением целого спектра вопросов, связанных с различными сферами жизнедеятельности государства (фискальной, социально-экономической, административной, политико-правовой, внешнеполитической и др.), младший василевс сосредоточил в своих руках главным образом функции командования вооруженными силами империи. Обособленное положение младшего императора, заключавшееся в его постоянном пребывании вне столицы, и наличие под его контролем значительных воинских контингентов обеспечивали известную степень самостоятельности Михаила IX в принимаемых им военно-политических решениях, в которых он зачастую вступал в противоречие со своим отцом. В то же время специфически разрозненное существование в Византии двух императорских дворов со своим штатом придворных нарушало единство внутри узкой прослойки византийской элиты, приводило к ее размежеванию и выделению из ее числа определенной группы людей, связывавших с младшим василевсом дальнейшее обретение ими высоких чинов и широких властных полномочий в государстве. После смерти Михаила IX (1320) указанное обстоятельство окажет значительное влияние на начало гражданской войны в империи (1321-1328).
