Domains of borderline personality disorder

Currently, a categorical approach to taxonomy and diagnosis of personality disorders is replaced by a dimensional one. When refusing of distinguishing the separate nosological forms the clinical and psychological assessment of personality disorders is based on measurement of severity of key features of the personality - domains. The study of patients with borderline personality disorder using V. Garbuzov's Test to assess the prevailing instinct and Leary Interpersonal Communication Skills Test is carried out. The significance of dominance and aggressiveness traits in improving the completeness of characterization of personality disorders characteristics along with domains included in the classification of mental diseases is revealed.
