The article presents the results of interpretative studies on discursive manifestations of gender-based (feminine) consciousness of female writers at three levels of the literary text (speech, image, and imagined world including). Stylistic devices that are used by contemporary female-writers in their literary works (irony, re-nomination, secondary reflection, elliptical discourse, etc.) are viewed as the systematic representatives of gender marking in feminine writing, because by the author they have prominent symbolic meaning that translates the repressed cultural consciousness of women as a speaking subject, employed in searching for the identity and an expression of social significance. Being specifically presented at every ontologically significant levels of literary communication, the markers of femininity demonstrate their systematic and typological nature due to their effective influence on the choice of various stylistic means and devices by the writers, the writers’ reference to different generations. The results of the studies presented in the article prove that the female markers might view as “enlarged” signs, as they not only retain their symbolic content in the lexical-semantic and syntactic embodiment, but generate symbolism on more figurative and plot-and-composite levels. The possibilities of practical application of the observations in the process of gender minded interpretation of the female text are defined.
