Studies of the functional state of the cardiorespiratory system are widely used to assess the adaptive reserves of the human body. With changes in the social status of a person, the adaptive potential of his body can significantly decrease. Reliable markers of the adaptive capacity limitations in people of different ages are a decrease in the values of the main pulmonary volumes under physiological rest and when performing test stress tests. The cardiovascular system plays an equally important role in adaptive rearrangements. Its activity most often becomes a factor limiting the development of adaptive reactions of the body in the process of its adaptation to various environmental conditions. The admission to and education in secondary school during the first months is a powerful stress factor for a child’s body. In this regard, monitoring studies of functional characteristics of the cardiorespiratory system of students in the first grades of secondary schools, carried out in the first months of the school year, are of particular relevance.
