Деизм и Герберт из Чербери в современной историографии

В статье анализируются современные тенденции в исследовании деистической философии, полемика вокруг представлений о месте деизма в философии эпохи Просвещения и представление о роли Герберта из Чербери в истории английской мысли. В работе описывается влияние современников и предшественников на взгляды и идеи английского мыслителя. Анализируется современная проблематика в изучении термина «деизм». Кроме того, рассматривается вопрос о роли церковной догматики в деистической философии. Вопрос о влиянии религиозных течений Англии XVI-XVII вв. на деистов является одним из наиболее актуальных по этой теме. Данный вопрос имеет особое значение для отечественных исследований, так как в отечественном религиоведении эта тема изучена хуже, чем за рубежом. В статье критически оценивается позиция, согласно которой роль Герберта из Чербери в истории деизма подвергается сомнению . Также в работе произведен анализ современной полемики о природе деизма. В заключении статьи сделано обобщение значения новых исследований по теме деизма.
