The rebellious man: the existential concept of rebellion of Leonid Andreyev and Albert Camus

The article is devoted to the problem of rebellion, which is of great importance for current humanities and social sciences. The author explores the phenomenon of rebellion as an existential problem of the literary and philosophical works of Leonid Andreyev and the philosophy of Albert Camus. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the concept of «metaphysical rebellion», which plays one of the central roles in the system of artistic and philosophical coordinates of the two thinkers. The approach of Andreyev and Camus to the nature of the rebellion, the types and forms of its expression could be of great interest for the future philosophical, cultural or historical concepts of human existence.
