Воспалительная реакция и развитие боли - взаимозависимые процессы. Воспаление, сопровождающееся гиперпродукцией провоспалительных цитокинов и медиаторов, не только вызывает боль, но и является основной причиной ее хронизации. Поэтому главным направлением анальгетической терапии следует считать использование противовоспалительных препаратов. Во второй части обзора обсуждается анальгетический потенциал различных фармакологических групп, обладающих противовоспалительным действием, - нестероидных противовоспалительных препаратов, глюкокортикоидов, генноинженерных биологических препаратов, метотрексата, медленно действующих противовоспалительных средств («хондропротекторов»), а также ряда перспективных и экспериментальных средств, таких как ингибиторы фактора роста нервов. Приводятся данные основных клинических исследований, в которых оценивалось обезболивающее действие этих препаратов при различных заболеваниях и патологических состояниях.
