The article describes effective methods for studying the mechanical properties of materials widely employed in household appliances and the light industry. The authors identify the shortcomings of existing methods used to assess the deformation indicators of composite materials under static and quasi-static mode max, and show significant deficiencies and limitations of these methods of assessment and polymeric structures property diagnostics. The authors also single out typical characteristics of plastic materials and their deformation performance.
