Analysis of studies of socio-psychological aspects of modern women's sport

This article analyzes the social and psychological factors affecting women who are professional athletes. The answers to the fundamental questions characterizing their current position in society, as well as their own feelings from being in this role are given. Due to the tendencies towards an increase in the number of professional athletes in Russia and in the world, this study is especially relevant and in demand. In the course of the work, domestic and foreign sources as well as various research methods were used. In particular, the answers given by respondents- athletes in sociological surveys are of particular importance. As a result, the specific aspects inherent in the socio- psychological identification of professional athletes in society were identified.
