The Alexandrian Bible and La Bible d’Alexandrie: features of commenting french translation of the Septuagint

The article deals with the peculiarities of the project La Bible d’Alexandrie in which, from 1986, The University of the Sorbonne publishes a commented French translation of every book of the Septuagint. At first, author talks about the circumstances that influenced the creation of this project, then directly about its creation and results. Drawing on the example of the commentary translation of Genesis (1986), author considers the methodological features which were developed by M. Harle, director of the project La Bible d’Alexandrie. At the end, the prospects for studying the Septuagint in Russia are outlined.
