Adaptation of convicts with personality disorders in prison environment: clinical dynamics and social-psychological parallels

In article results of the carried out studying of clinical dynamics and adaptation to environment of corrective establishments of 400 convicts with personality disorders are analyzed. With the help of clinical-dynamic, clinical-catamnestic, experimentalpsychological and statistical methods of research two variants of clinical dynamics of the stable and unstable type are determined by phenomenology of clinical manifestations and adaptive potential. Interactions of stability and instability of clinicaldynamic and adaptive characteristics with influence on convicts constitutional-biological, exogenous-organic, criminological and social-psychological factors are marked. Integral parameters of social-psychological adaptation of the convicts with personality disorders to corrective institutions as adaptation at the personal level, integration in prison environment and optimum communicative activity are determined.
