90 years of east European forest experiment station: past, present, future

The article is devoted to the history of the creation of the East European Forest Experimental Station. The main achievements and scientific developments of its leading scientists are characterized. Scientific work at the Station is carried out on the basis of the continuity of the accumulated experience. The modern scientific topics of the Station include promising research in such areas as: protective afforestation, plantation forest growing, study of recreational load on forests, reclamation of disturbed lands, studying the structure of forests and optimizing the species composition of plantations.
