Written from within the analytic horizons of insiders, the article argues that the success story of the Translation Studies Chair is closely connected with that of Volgograd State University. This article tracks а particular role of individuals following the milestones of the Chair development. The authors describe a case study of creative processes related to teaching practices in translation and crosscultural communication. Thus, focusing on exploring the professional activities of the Chair members the authors discuss the way of enhancing the continuity of higher and further education in view of the current innovative trends.
